Well Chlorination & Disinfection
Well chlorination is the process of introducing a chlorine solution into your well to kill harmful bacteria such as coliform and E. coli. It's routinely required when a well tests positive for bacteria, after any well work, or as a condition of real estate sales.
Our team follows proper shock chlorination procedures, ensures the solution is distributed throughout the well and distribution system, and advises on the correct waiting and flushing process before returning to normal water use.

Well Sealing & Abandonment
Unused wells are a real environmental and safety hazard. An improperly abandoned well can serve as a direct conduit for surface contaminants to enter the groundwater supply, putting your neighbors and community at risk.
Minnesota and Wisconsin both require that abandoned wells be properly sealed by a licensed contractor. McCullough & Sons handles the entire process, from excavation and removal of the pump and casing to proper grouting and filing the required abandonment report with the state.
